MacCorkindale Orphanage for HIV positive and abandoned
children is just outside Manzini in Swaziland. The orphanage is over 35 years old and was started by two sisters of Scottish origin who devoted their entire lives to this orphanage. Both sisters are now deceased. The Rotary Club of Manzini
is one of the trustees of the orphanage. There are currently 32 children and one housemother living at the orphanage.
Our club's Centenary project is to
make the Orphanage Self Sufficient so that it no longer requires any donor
funding to keep going.
